This project came about after a failed attempt to film some Shortform pieces about people who work to keep History Alive. But due to bad weather and then a Global pandemic it kept having to be postponed.
In 2021 I re-pitched some of the ideas from this series under a new Shortform initiative.
I researched and produced these myself, contacting contributors, planning with them the logistics of filming themselves and talking through with them how I would like it to be shot so that all the pieces had a similar look.
The first three pieces (See below) went out in July and showcase talented craftspeople from all over the UK.
I have since produced two more fillers under the 60 Seconds of Skill banner this time adding a Knife maker from Sheffield and the last Clay Pipe maker in the UK from Shropshire.
For the next batch I hope to get out and film them myself to give myself a bit more control and consistency but also to meet these amazing crafts people in person.
